Caretta Caretta sea turtles are one of the most important marine creatures of the Mediterranean and the Dalyan region is known as the nesting area of these turtles. Every year, between May and September, caretta carettas come to Iztuzu Beach to lay eggs. During this period, it is important to keep the beach protected and not to disturb the turtles.
